Each year, we culminate our programs with a vibrant art show that showcases the incredible talent, passion, and progress of our artists. This special event brings families, friends, and community members together to celebrate the creative voices that too often go unheard.

Empowering Creativity Through Art—All Year Long

At Philly Friendship Circle, we believe that everyone is an artist—and that creativity is a powerful way to connect, express, and grow. At every single one of our Sunday programs– both for children and teens (ages 17 & under), and young adults (ages 18+) – our committed Art Therapist, Maria, provides a welcoming space where people come together through the joy of making art.

Whether through painting, sculpting, collaging, or simply sharing ideas, our programs focus on self-expression, friendship, and the creative journey. With compassionate instruction and a supportive environment, we celebrate the unique voice of every participant and the connections formed through shared artistic experiences.

Meet Maria, our Art Therapist!

Maria creates a supportive and friendly studio environment by helping find various Mentor Artists, and together creating accessible creative experiences that promote authentic self-expression. She supports Mentor Artists in creating an artistic vision that is appropriate for our friends’ various developmental needs and interests, all while connecting with the values and themes of our circle. With Maria’s assistance and creative energy, our friends are empowered to explore new art modalities, share ideas, and encourage others through the creative process.
